Full Stack Engineer / Developer - remote possible (m/w/d)

Job description

We are looking for a full-time Full Stack Engineer / Developer, based in the center of Hamburg (w/m/d)

About Dynamic Insight

The future is digital. Yet, few companies truly pursue a data-driven approach to analyze, plan, execute and measure their strategic growth plan. Despite all the communication channels and the rapidly growing number of new business tools, it has become harder to align and focus organizations, teams and partners towards common goals. Furthermore, many companies lack full transparency on important strategic initiatives, KPIs and priorities that are critical for success.
With our consultative approach and our tech-driven DNA, it’s our passion to help companies and their whole organization to make better decisions and run their organizations more efficiently. How do we do this? We give companies the right “insight” on their top priorities from a strategic as well as individual action item view. dynamic insight’s products and services range from the integration of systems and data sources to process automation and custom dashboarding. Our ultimate goal is to help our customers achieve their growth plans.

Our stack:

  • Front-end: vue.js, ES7, Typescript, Webpack
  • Back-end: Python (Flask), Postgres
  • Serverless architecture: AWS Cognito, Lambda, RDS Aurora (Postgres), S3, CloudFront, ...
  • We value maintainable code: TDD, DevOps automation (Gitlab pipes) ...

About the role:

Our team is growing and currently comprised of one backend and one frontend engineer. We are looking for someone to "pull the ties together" and can ideally work on both (frontend and backend) topics. Even if you have only one strong side, backend or frontend, and feel that you can at least oversee the other side conceptually and ensure backend APIs match frontend interfaces, you should consider applying. In this role, you will be the centerpiece of a growing team and have a wide span of responsibilities. You will have a material influence on architecture and technology decisions.

What you bring to the table:

  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that cherishes pragmatism, yet delivers to enterprise software standards
  • You thrive when you receive clear goals and enjoy a good challenge that allows you to learn about and concur new territory technologically
  • 3+ years in software development, primarily Python and/or JavaScript and at least +1 year of Vue.js or a strong desire to learn Vue.js
  • TDD and BDD are among the primary goals - as we serve enterprise clients that expect the highest standards of availability and reliability
  • An intermediate to advanced knowledge of Gitlab, Postgres (SQLAlchemy), and the AWS platform is a strong plus
  • Experience with Redshift, Timescale, Airflow, Snowflake or getdbt.com is a plus
  • Positivity and a can-do attitude are the corner-stones of culture
  • Fluent in advanced business English and a good, proactive communicator; German is good to have, but optional

    What we offer:

    • Challenging and interesting projects with international fast-paced clients
    • Choose your equipment: Mac or PC
    • Modern office and conferencing
    • Very good public transport connection
    • Drinks flatrate, fruits & snacks
    • Personal learning & training budget
    • Team events and building activities
    • Proximity to academic environment
    • Learn & teach culture
    • A high degree of autonomy
